Hey!

I’m Cory. I am a partner at The Environmental Storytelling Studio and a reader for the Mediterranean Arts Project. My short story “Smith,” published in The Common, won the 2026 PEN/Dau prize for best debut short story.

Thanks to Harvardwood’s Artist Launch Fellowship, I am spending the year writing a novel about wildfires and masculinity on the Pacific Crest Trail. I just thru-hiked it. Currently I live in Whitefish, Montana, where I run, climb, and sit in the sun.
